Texas Self-Defense & Deadly Force Laws Seminar

#1

Post by Charles L. Cotton »

I am considering giving the Texas Self-Defense & Deadly Force Laws Seminar on Friday, Oct. 22nd, the night before the TexasCHLforum Day at PSC. I need to know if there is enough interest before scheduing the seminar. It will begin at 6:00 pm and typically runs 2 1/2 to 3 hrs., depending upon the number of questions. We will probably use the shotgun clubhouse and can seat about 60 people.

I'm going to start a poll just to gauge interest. The poll has to have at least 2 responses, but I obviously don't need people to vote "no." I just need to see how many people want to come.

Thanks,
Chas.

Mr. Cotton,

I would love to attend this seminar. I don't think my schedule will allow though - we have tentatively scheduled my daughters B-day party for Friday evening. So I guess I will refrain from voting for the moment.

I would make it a priority to be down there in time for this. I think my wife might be interested also.

I would be there, I may even be able to bring my wife. After the armed robbery I am trying to convince her to get her CHL. Count me in for three people, a co-worker would liek to come also.

Thanks. I will have to pass this time. My son gets married a couple weeks after that and money wouldn't allow this trip.

I'm pretty sure my Friday just cleared up - my daughters birthday sleep-over just changed to a birthday party on a different day.

Mr. Cotton,

Any updates as to whether you will be able to host this seminar?

Yes I am; sorry I didn't post that earlier. The Texas Self-Defense & Deadly Force Laws Seminar will be offered from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday, Oct. 22nd. We can seat 40 people in the Blue Building, but we can move to the Shotgun clubhouse and seat around 60 if the demand is high. I'll add a registration for the seminar to the PSC Event Registration page. Please note, this seminar is on Friday night, not on Saturday!

Thanks,
Chas.

I'm guilty of responding to the poll before reading the post. I responded "Yes" thinking that you were inquiring about general scheduling of interest in attending the seminar on a Friday night, not a particular Friday night. Can I retract my Yes?

Don't worry about it. There is enough interest to do it. We will be announcing it to all PSC members via an email blast and that will generate more interest as well. I'll hold off doing that until TexasCHLforum members have an opportunity to register.
