Carry methods during TCHLf Day

Couple of questions:

For those of us who have not received the special plastic card yet, what is the preferred method for transporting handguns around PSC? Open carry, concealed, in a case/bag?

As a rule, PSC runs a cold range. You may handle magazines and ammunition anywhere. There are designated safe areas to handle your weapon outside of the shooting bays. Each instructor during the day will have his or her own preference on how they want your gun during their course. Unloaded in a holster is perferctly acceptable at PSC.

Jason gave the rules regarding non-CHL's and guns you are going to shoot. If you are a CHL, you can carry a hot gun as long as it is concealed and stays that way. If you want to participate in a clinic and shoot your carry gun, then advise the instructor so he/she can let everyone with a hot gun come to the line and unload before the class. When the clinic is over, you can load up again as long as it stays concealed. But remember, you cannot touch that gun again until an instructor takes you to a firing line for you to unload. So if you want to handle an unloaded gun in the "safe areas" as Jason mentioned, then don't have a hot gun in your holster.

Also, you cannot have a hot gun in anything other than a holster or purse and the purse must stay in your hand or on your arm.
