TXCHLFDay 2010 - Who is traveling the farthest?

#1

Post by terryg »

I'm just curious who to see who is traveling the farthest to this event? I am very fortunate to live very close to the range - 3.5 miles. Post your distances (street miles, not as the crow flies) and I will keep the top 10 current in the OP. You can post your home city if you want as well.

To make it easy to find the distance, click here and replace 'Dallas, TX' in block A with your address.

1. chasfm11 - Northern DFW, TX - 297 mi
2. surprise_i'm_armed - Lewisville, TX - 289 mi
3. The Annoyed Man - Grapevine, TX - 292 mi
4. tomc - Dallas, TX - 291 mi
5. Fosforos - Terrell, TX - 267 mi
6. toddlinder - Midlothian, TX - 256 mi
7. foreman - Leander/Cedarpark, TX - 204.1 mi
8. USA1 - Tomball, TX - 54 mi
9. Purplehood - Houston, TX - 46.4 mi
10. TLynnHughes & williamkevin - - 14.9 mi

14.9 miles for williamkevin and I. Certainly not the longest distance to travel but we are further away than I thought we were.

I didn't consider the possibility of ties. ;-)

That puts you both at 1 and 2 - for now.

Well, 7.9 miles from my house as the car drives or about 3.5 miles by crow.

OOPS EDIT by crow 5.5 miles. Smaller crow than I thought.

Ok gwashorn and Purplehood - your in. But we really need some of the DFW folks to chime in and push us local boys off of the list.

Yeah, I know. I am hoping RiverRat will show up. I know Skippr is farther away.

I really doubt that 18.35 miles is correct (FM1960 and Champion Forest area).

I drive from home in NW Houston to work (inside the 610 loop) one way 26 miles. Friendswood is further south.

I hate MapQuest.
