Re: Forum Day packing list
If anyone is taking a clinic like "Cover and Concealment" I would suggest wearing long pants [with knee protectors]. Kneeling on rocks, pebbles or empty brass can hurt.
I am surprised that no one said Hawaiian shirt ... so you don't print.

You should wear one of these masks to protect the sides of your face and neck from hot brass.OldSchool wrote:In that case, I'll add: A mask for the cameras....USA1 wrote:A laptop so we can post up to the minute updates on the forum.

Re: Forum Day packing list
We bought 500 rounds each of 9mm and .45 ACP, and while we were still at Cabela's, we ran into Marty - Crossfire's husband - who told us that wasn't going to be enough... ....so we went back and bought 500 more rounds of each. With my luck, I'll remember to bring everything but the ammo.

Some of ya'll are making me feel like I'll be undergunned. Thinking I'll probably have 300 rounds of .45 to make the Rock Island happy, and about 200 rounds of .38spcl to feed through the GP.
Chair is a brilliant suggestion.
I actually have a bike trailer/stroller that I might bring as a cargo cart....

It sure is. Last year some folks had trouble finding a place to sit during lunch.jamisjockey wrote: Chair is a brilliant suggestion.
I snagged a spot at the rifle range. I'll probably throw a fold up in the back of the truck this time.

+1 on the chair suggestion.
I guess we'll be packing the truck all week....
And using up the ammo for which we thought we had a good stockpile....

Re: Forum Day packing list
Just now counted up the empty boxes: We went through approx. 315 rounds between the two of us, I'd guess an average of 30 each per mini-clinic. However, we took the more basic mini-clinics, and went to the Star probably about six times total.
We carried enough; I developed a torn seam in my Go bag.
Next year could see more action....
Top of 2011 list: More cold drinks.
