They said this morning that she is a travelling nurse from Texas.Rafe wrote: ↑Fri Aug 05, 2022 1:48 pmFox News reported a short while ago that the driver was a woman in her 40s, in a black Mercedes going approximately 100mph. Three of the victims were a child and a pregnant woman and her fetus. The driver evidently was not one of the ones killed.BigGuy wrote: ↑Fri Aug 05, 2022 12:36 pm So many questions. How fast was he going and why? It doesn't look like he even tried to slow down. Seems intentional. If I'd seen it in a movie, I'd be rolling my eyes at the typical Hollywood, over the top fiery explosion. One or more gas tanks must have been torn open and ignited.

Yep. Seems she's a 37-year-old from Houston but living in L.A. and working as a nurse. She was arrested and "hospitalized with moderate injuries and faces a charge of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence."
The pregnant victim was 23-year-old Asherey Ryan, and her 11-month-old son was also killed.
Five dead, eight hospitalized.

The driver was traveling at a high rate of speed when she ran off the road and collided with a residence, Los Angeles Police Public Information Officer Jeff Lee tells CNN. The impact left the car engulfed in flames and the driver suffered burn injuries. She was taken to a local hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics in critical condition. It took firefighters more than an hour to "access, confine and fully extinguish the stubborn flames within the heavily damaged structure," the LAFD said.
There were no other injuries reported.
CNN has contacted representatives of Heche for comment.
