Florida: Man released after 14 months after video showed he stood his ground

14 months behind bars after killing a man who shot him twice. Surveillance video shows the other man fired first. His brother was killed by police when he didn’t drop his gun when police arrived.

I suspect everybody here were not your model citizens, but I don’t know.

Not sure why it took so long to reach this decision.

Prosecutors said the shooting was provoked by something the one man said. Clearly the judge was right. Not illegal to say something.

I can't imagine pulling my weapon and firing on a person simply because they said something disrespectful to me.
