The victim and the suspect had just dropped off their daughter after driving to the school in separate vehicles when they began to argue, leading to the stabbing,

an internal charter school with a focus on dual language education
Perhaps one car had labels in English and the other had labels in another language like maybe one said "Radio" and the other said ... well ... I guess it would say "Radio" ...

But yeah, I noticed that too. Maybe the argument started at home and someone had one of those "I should have said" moments and had to chase the other to say it and have the last word..

I work with this woman. She left her husband yesterday an he was served his divorce paper this morning. When she went to drop off their daughter at school he was there waiting. They got into an arrgument and he stabbed her several times in the neck and upper torso. A passerby pulled out a gun and ordered him to drop the knife. Then the cops came. He is in jail with 150,000 bond set and she is in critical condition.

We will pray for your co-worker to have a full recovery. Luckily the passerby (presumably a CHL) was able to stop the attack before it became any worse.

Article says an Armed Citizen, a CHLer, intervened and deployed the threat of deadly force in protection of 3rd person. Take that Antis and bag it too.

But But But ... why didn't the Police shoot the CHL ?
The Anti's said Police get confused real easily and can't tell good guys from bad guys so if a good guy has a gun, they shoot each other or something.
And at SCHOOL ???????
Doesn't the world explode or Mr. Ed or Martha the talking dog lose their voice if a gun is at school or something?
It can't be true.
We need to bookmark this for the Anti-campus carry "confused police" argument.

The citizen's name was Nick Leghorn. His gun was a KelTec P3AT.
In the above story he makes a bit of a stretch by saying having a gun on school parking lots is always OK.
My understanding is that it is OK as long as you have a CHL. MPA doesn't really cover you in a school parking lot.

Thanks to all who have given me support and kudos for what happened yesterday. I got my CHL about 18 months ago and have often wondered how I would react if needed to a situation like this. My wife and I are avid walkers. I got my CHL because I often walk in “high crime” areas at various hours of the day or night. My wife has never been very happy about me carrying a gun. When this happened yesterday, as soon as I heard the lady screaming for help I started toward her car. I could here my wife calling me back, but I just couldn’t stop. I thought that he was just punching her until I saw the knife. To my amazement afterwards, I was very calm. I wasn’t near as nervous as I thought I would be, and the gun was steady as I aimed at him. Several comments on websites, and even some in person comments from friends (including police officers) suggest that I should have just shot him. As it turned out, I didn’t need to, and now that my wife has witnessed the situation, she is much more comfortable about me carrying a weapon. Some have called my actions “heroic”. I’d rather believe that this is just normal reaction for a law abiding citizen when he/she sees someone in distress.

I pulled my gun, aimed it at him, and yelled at him again. Again he looked at me and ignored me. When he began stabbing her again I yelled to him as loud as I could. He again turned and looked at me. I told him “dude do you see what I have aimed at your head?” He immediately dropped the knife and asked me to call 911.
I would think after the weapon was drawn and the BG went back to stabbing the woman after a warning, that would be the time to shoot as it is the BG was able to stab the woman again with what might turn out to be a fatal stab wound.
I don't want to second guess the CHL holder (armchair general). What he did was great and I admire his courage.
The time for warnings are clearly over when the deadly attack continues.
Does anyone know the name of the passerby who stopped
The man from continually stabbing her by pulling his
Gun? Ksat12 wants to interview him and it would be
Good to see a pro gun news reel.

SIA has it above. Nick Leghorn
He definitely would have been within the law if he had shot him with or without warning. There may have been something behind the guy that he wasn't completely confident in taking the shot and hoped the guy just stopped so that he wouldn't have to shoot.

Nick is the author or the story. Not the passerby with the CHL.
