Read the only comment after the story.
The article was very confusing to me. I'm old.
The one thing I got out of it was you carry when you camp.

Poorly written and edited newspaper.
I know the area well and still keep up with some of the 22 lawyers in the 20,000 pop. Palestine, TX.
Meth keeps the economy going around there but probably not related to these murders.

The trial of the man accused of killing the six was held earlier this month. The jury found him guilty after 17 minutes of deliberation, and he was sentenced to death.

It doesn't sound like his attorneys put up much of a defense beyond "He ain't right in the head." (Which is true, but not exculpatory. Another case where the family and I think local law enforcement knew he was dangerous).
To be fair to his lawyers, he didn't have much of a defense.

Thanks ELB for posting
I remember this case. Being from East Texas....I'm glad to hear the POS will soon be in Hail.
I know the country very well where this happened. So sad for the family. I know that sending the perp to eternity will not bring back the loved ones.....but at least he will stopped from being paroled and doing the same thing or worse again.
Thank God for Texas
