UK police investigate 'firearms incident' near parliament - CNN
https://apple.news/ArCg1iXZYSCyPmE6CUW4xgA

CNN believes it's a firearms incident, as even in a country where guns are outlawed, that's a better story to them than a stabbing and a mass terror attack with a vehicle.

Fox News reports a man with a knife stabbed a police officer and was shot by police. Car rammed pedestrians on Westminster Bridge. Guess because police used a gun to stop the attacker the MSM considers it a "firearms" incident. :banghead:

Shooting Reported Outside U.K. Parliament - The New York Times
https://apple.news/Ae3_4kNFrRkO-Naq1PUBVHA

New York Times reports it as a shooting.

As many as 12 injured some catastrophically. 2 dead. Reports of bodies floating in the Thames River.

This right at the center of tourism in London. I've walked across this bridge.

Always tough to watch live TV of a person lying on the street injured, potentially fatal and no one there yet to help.

RIP

Lots of hyped first reports that are being proved to have been inaccurate.
The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager

The Brits are reacting in their usual fashion:

The assailant was known to police as a radical Islamist, but was not under active investigation.

He used weapons (a vehicle and a knife) which are legal to own and available to everyone, so beating the gun control drum isn't available as a political response. ISIS has figured out that they can achieve superior body counts with far less effort, investment, and risk of preattack intervention by attacking crowds with readily available vehicles and knives. They're also aware that conducting such an attack in an area of historical importance like the Westminster Bridge outside Parliament yields bonus points.

Police believe he acted alone, but they conducted raids and scooped up several people who may have had some involvement. They'll be let go shortly with no charges.

The prime minister told the country that the best response is: "millions of acts of normality."

That tactic worked out really well for the 4 dead and 40 injured in the latest attack.

There appears to be no public outrage calling the prime minister's "solution" out for the insanity it represents - doing the same thing over and over while expecting a different result.

The UK is a country doomed by its timid and impotent leadership and its passive citizenry.

Details here.

Yet, liberals the world over keep beating the drum of their delusional "multi-cultural" nonsense.

Why, insist on background checks of potential terrorists who want in our country you ask? Absolutely not, heaven forbid. Why, what sort of monsters are we that seek self preservation?

Nah, just let anyone in, just anyone... All liberals are assured all people, any group from anywhere are peaceful, kind, loving, and wish us all the best. No need to look intrude into their background, after all they're human and deserve our respect and should be able to maintain their dignity without our prying into their potential for harm, to us common lifelong citizens...

Now back up, I need a little more room to stick my head in the sand...

The reactions coming out of London do not represent the British people as a whole. London is "Liberal Land," just like San Francisco, Austin, NYC, etc. in the U.S. The average Joe or Jane Blow outside London feesl quite differently, having spent considerable time over there. I wish I could say the same for our Canadian friends, but except for the west and far northeast of Canada, they're liberal through and through also. All of Europe is heading to be the Balkins, with ethnic and religious groups battling each other. MHO.
