San Antonio College
this is a little close to home.
Daughter called at 3.30 to tell me she had just left San Antonio College campus and had gotten an active shooter alert, asked me where her brother was, he was at home.
Looks like 2 officers on foot stopped two men also on foot, in front of student housing to talk with them, there's apparently been a rise in crime in the area. One of the men pulled a gun and shot the two officers, one officer was able to get off a shot, to the shooter, the other man ran, other officers were able to catch the runner.
that seems to be it in a nutshell. Both officers are at BAMC in critical, one officer was shot in the face/head.

Holy moly I hope the officers are going to be okay.
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.

Prayers sent for full recovery of one of SA finest. Glad your daughter is ok. I only hope that people will begin to understand, that leftist, "let's all hold hands, and sing kumbaya,"
Ideals, will not make criminals, suddenly give up crime, and join in a group hug. There are still too many leftist officials in SA who want to turn the streets over to criminals. It's a beautiful city, and could potentially be more affluent than Dallas, but not if they don't stop this type of element, taking over.

Re: San Antonio College
I'm really hoping both of my "young adults" will get their CHL's this summer and start carrying next fall. Most of my daughter's classes are in a building where they teach "funeral science" or something like that....there's a morgue in the basement, so hopefully they don't decide her building is off-limits.

Re: San Antonio College
suspect is dead.
the officers were responding to a "suspicious person" call.
the officer that was shot in the head is in grave condition
the other officer was shot in the chin, is in serious condition, is expected to survive.

Re: San Antonio College
Just heard that officer passed away. I've been praying a bunch for healing for both of them, such a sad situation.
