Brain trama is very unlikely to have such a quick onset. Being scared or parinoid due to drug use is much more likely.

Yet another case where the tox screen is probably going to provide the solution. I'm guessing he traded weed for something less botanical. Is it meth-amphetamine that makes you paranoid?

Does anyone know if Mohamed Noor had a tox screen to explain his paranoia?

If it was a truck driver involved with a traffic accident, or a petrochem worker who got injured on the job there would be tox screen.

This forum thread discusses the incident, and has some commentary, including a picture of the type of handgun and holster involved. Some of the thread participants are police officers, including the one who posted the picture (and was at the funeral).

Pulling pieces from the news report and the thread, it appears that a male officer or deputy was seated, but turned around talking to a female deputy in the row behind him. He had a Glock with a TLR1 light attached in a department approved Safariland ALS holster designed for that configuration. When he stood up the handgun discharged, went through the bottom of the holster and a chair seat, and grazed the leg of the female deputy.

If you go look at the pictures in the thread, the poster show that in fact he can insert his finger from the back of the holster all the way to the trigger, and as he notes, if a finger can get in so can something else.

The trigger appears to be within the holster, but exposed somewhat because the holster has to leave room for the mounted light to pass through.

If you carry a light on your handgun, you might want to take a close look at your gun/light/holster configuration.

If the gun was a safer gun, like a DA/SA and had a safety it wouldn't have happened. This time an innocent got shot. Time and again this happens, and is the one of the few times that the gun community defending lack of safety simplicity and convienience. How much safety are we willing to sacrifice for convienience. We can blame it on the person who had the AD we can blame it on the holster. Someone is blaming the seats. The truth is if it was something like a Beretta 92fs or something these things wouldn't happen.
