He was getting out of his car when strangers walked up and began shooting. He said they never said a word. Never asked for anything just began shooting. Police initially thought it was some kind of professional hit, but now believe it was just random.

They took his keys and wallet. The doctors saved his life, but were unable to save his legs, both were amputated.

Happened near Sam's Club near I-45 and Fuqua.

Car was later found burned.

Senseless.

Yikes, I had no clue that area is so crime ridden.

Some time in the past the Sam's in that area was one I went to regularly and also Fishing Tackle Unlimited across the street.

I have no reason anymore to be in that area, (I live far away from it now) but, if I'm unexpectedly in that area, they'll be no shopping done by me in that crime ridden vicinity.

To be fair to Sam's the shooting occurred in an apartment complex behind Sam's.

That sounds like a gang intiation, totally pointless!
Government, like fire is a dangerous servant and a fearful master
If you ain't paranoid you ain't paying attention
Don't fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war let it begin here- John Parker

Senseless seems to happen a lot in Houston. Y'all got something in the water down there?
The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager

Houston is downstream of Austin. The piece of sewage running HPD is an example of the effluent poisoning the city.
God, grant me serenity to accept the things I can't change
Courage to change the things I can
And the firepower to make a difference.
