Many years ago the wife and I went to Jamaica on one of those Sandovals or whatever stays. The country was very pretty. Johnny Cash had a home there. As soon as you left the confines of the club though you were bombarded with people that were unbelievably forceful. Hand out and you better fill it. What might have been a nice tour of the country became a nightmare. Most of the jewelry shops seemed to be owned by Indians (India Indians) and of course the wife bought some gold after having some compulsory hair braiding.
I believe we did have to go through some Jamaican customs to leave and I was extremely happy once the plane was off that island and we were on our way home. Never again. The only country south of the border that I liked and felt safe in was Costa Rica.
