Subway robbed. Three armed men, one with a semiautomatic rifle.

I eat at Subway a lot. Not a gunfight you would win.

Now you owe me a new shirt! But it was worth it - I needed a good laugh this morning.

When I am armed, my only choice is to shoot back. Otherwise, I may get shot anyway if I cannot retreat or depart to safety.

Makes you wonder if they would have stopped and addressed a customer eating or went on by. I've seen videos in the past of it going either way. I think I'd be inclined to throw my wallet towards them if acknowledged, hoping to buy some time and space. If nothing else, someone picking up a wallet may buy you time to draw and have a fighting chance.

saw a video of a similar situation where 2 gunmen robbed what looks like a subway. guy was in line buying a sandwich when 2 guys busted in. one jumped over the counter (i assume to get to the safe) and the other guy pointed his gun at the customer in line and he pushed him back a bit and when the gunman turned his head to look behind the counter at his buddy, the customer pulled out a gun shot the gunman point blank. he went down. then the customer dove behind cover and popped up and shot a few rounds. jumped behind the counter and dragged the other BG over to his buddy who by this time had stopped moving. it was insane. it looked like the 1st BG bled out and idk about the 2nd guy. the video ended after the good guy with a gun was stepping on the 2nd BGs face telling him not to move lol.

Watching the video again:

It wasn’t an AR15, so would that be an AK47?

I didn’t want to say “assault rifle” but it’s black in the video.

This new robbery had five men, but only 2 guns. These were more the Keystone burglars, but they will get better with more practice.

Really clear video now from the new cameras.

Multiple attackers are rapidly becoming the norm. I won't go into tactics here, but the chance of successfully defending against this requires recognizing the threat early (easy in this case) and responding quickly before the entire crew is inside the store.

I'm glad the innocent people were not hurt.

The only "crime" I've been witness to in a Subway was so time consuming, on my part, and ridiculous I've stopped going. This nonesense is just plain crazy.

In my case I saw an older lady being incredibly condescending and rude to the teenage girl making her sandwich. Eventually it escalated to raised voices between the two and the manager asked the customer to leave. She refused and ultimately out of sheer frustration the teenager threw the sandwich at the lady. Then the police were called. I remained so the teenager would have an impartial witness around, gave a statement to the police, and even ended up being subpoenaed. I had to show up to court but the case was dropped because the older lady conveniently left out the but about being asked to leave in her statement to the police. She was technically trespassing at the time of the sandwich throwing, so she didn't have much of a case. It was really dumb.

Was the one guy looking for a particular style of weave?

The owners are lucky to not be harmed more than they were.
In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law to pursue a natural justice.
