I’ve contacted my State Rep, Gary Elkins, about co-sponsoring HB560. Have you contacted your Rep?

Yeah, me to. I'm in one of the categories of people that Alice Tripp is requesting written testimony from ("graduate or law school students who attend class at night, veterans returning from Iraq or Afghanistan who are resuming their studies, or enrollees at community colleges or technical schools here in Texas"), so I'm working on writing that now.

I'm not counting pre-hatched chickens. Article is a bit "biased"

This would be an ideal time to call all the committee members' offices, let them know you support HB 750. SCCC is estimating that they'll be outnumbered 2:1 at the hearing tomorrow, so please make sure the committee members hear YOUR voice:

Sid Miller, Chair - (512) 463-0628
Allen Fletcher, Vice Chair - (512) 463-0661
Marva Beck - (512) 463-0508
Lon Burnam - (512) 463-0740
Joe Driver - (512) 463-0574 (lead author)
Dan Flynn - (512) 463-0880
Barbara Mallory Caraway - (512) 463-0664
Aaron Peña - (512) 463-0426
Armando Walle - (512) 463-0924
I'll quit carrying a gun when they make murder and armed robbery illegal
