SOLD: Ruger SR1911 Lightweight Cmdr (North DFW)

Postby timtheteacher » Sat Aug 27, 2016 3:04 pm

Up for sale is my SR1911. It was purchased March 2015 and has been to the range 6 times. There is not a mark on it and it comes with 15 rounds of self defense, 72 rounds of WWB and a set of custom grips. I have the original box, all paperwork and the takedown tool. Asking $600 firm including the ammunition. Comes with gun bag as well. It's a fair price for a great gun! Holsters will be sold separately in holster Forum.
(ETA: the smudges under the barrel by the crown is excess oil from the cleaning)

Looks like a lightweight commander. If so might want to add that into the desc, adds a little more value to it.

When you say "takedown tool" are you talking about a bushing wrench?

I'm just curious. I never heard of a Commander that needed a takedown tool. :tiphat:

Thanks for clearing that up. I thought I was going to learn something new about 1911s (which would be a completely UNremarkable event).

I already have an aluminum frame Commander and I've heard lots of good things about Ruger 1911s. If anyone is thinking about a 1911 for carry, this could be the one!

That a great deal! About $100 off of new price, no tax, no 4473. If I didn't own one I'd jump on it. Good luck with the sale. :tiphat:

Extra mag and ammo too. Great deal for someone in the market. I already have 1 also.
