Boy, #2 is REALLY tempting. I just bought my first lever rifle a few days ago, a Remlin, and while it's ok, it's not as nice as your older ones. If you weren't all the way down in Houston, I'd find a way to sneak that one into my safe.

TAM, see what I mean? I thought of you as soon as I saw the post. I have two straight stock 336's (Texans) in .30-30 already or I would go after it. If it was in .35 Remington I'd probably succumb. The Annoyed Man wrote:Boy, #2 is REALLY tempting. If it were any other time but right before Christmas I would jump on at least one of these if not both. But alas, my firearm fund was depleted by the CFO to get Christmas gift for all 5 kids and 6 grand kids. If still available in mid-January, I will be all over at least one.

1980 is sold. 1961 is still available.

Bump with price reduction on the 1961 rifle. Price now $490 FTF in the Houston area.
