Do you have along to the order?
I looked at the City web site for executive orders and did not see it.
The cat in me is curious to see who it "applied to" or exempted

Now it's midnight till 5 AM. Those going to work are exempt. Let's see, a lot of looters are "working" from midnight till 5 am!! :biggrinjester:

We had a curfew when Celia hit Corpus in 1970. If you had a pass from some city agency, I forget which one, you were exempt. I think I still have that "pass" somewhere in my old archives.

Quite frankly, due to the magnitude of this disaster, I am surprised they waited this long to implement a curfew.

Mayor Turner?? Isn't he the Mayor that told his city that he knew better than the Governor, the Weather Bureau and the local Meteorologists and that the people did not need to evacuate? I hope he gets reminded of this and the voters get reminded of this. OH, yeah now he wants a 9% tax hike on top of the 7% average hike due to property value increase.

Its all waterfront property now right? Doesn't that justify the value increase? :banghead:

I saw this on the news. I guess he is not taking any responsibility, for refusing to give an evacuation order, and now, while people are still trying to salvage whatever is left of their homes, he wants them to pony up money. I hope the voters in Houston, are keeping score.

It takes a certain kind of sadist to raise property taxes on storm survivors trying to pay for home repairs.
