Trinity Carry Systems OWB Kydex holster

Post by maverick2076 »

I just picked up a holster from these guys off their eBay store. I've only had it for a day, and I'm already very impressed. It's well made and comfortable, and it holds very close to the body. The holster is molded with a 90/10 split, so most of the gun is molded into the side of the holster that is away from your body, which helps it stay so close to you.The speed clips are easy and secure, and allow you to remove the holster without removing the belt. They do also make normal belt loops. I can easily conceal my G19 in shorts and a t shirt. It has adjustable ride height and cant. It's so comfortable and concealable I may never wear my IWB holster again. And it was less than $50.

Here is a link to their eBay store.

I like that clip system. I might have to try those clips out one day.

I thought I'd give a quick update to my original post. I've carried in this holster almost every day since I bought it, and it is by far my favorite OWB holster. It is comfortable, easy to take on and off, and conceals even in shorts and a T shirt. I've lost about 25 pounds since I first received the holster, and it still conceals just as well with minimal effort. It speed clips are better than a paddle holster, in my opinion. They are easier to take on and off, as they only go on your belt and not inside your pants, and yet hold the pistol much closer than any paddle I have seen or tried. I have experienced no sagging or wear of the clips yet.

Perhaps even better than the Trinity holster is the customer service from Derek Hagan, the proprietor. When I picked up a Sig P229 in April, I wanted one of these holsters from Trinity. However, they didn't make them for the 229, so I ordered a similar one from another company. That holster, while OK, is not as well finished or made, and does not hold the pistol as well to the body as my Trinity holster does. When I found out I was getting a CZ P01, I went back to Trinity. Alas, it wasn't on their gun list. I emailed Derek and asked him if perhaps he could make holsters for the P01 and my 229, and he said that he didn't have the molds for them. I offered to buy the molds and let him keep them in return for a holster for each one, and he agreed. I should be receiving my new holsters from Derek within the next couple of weeks, and I am confident that they will have the same quality and concealability of my G19 holster. I highly recommend Derek and Trinity Carry Systems for your Kydex holster needs.

Maybe I should order one, I need to lose weight too ... :smilelol5:
But seriously thanks for this, I like that type clip system too and may be ordering soon for real. The Desantis J-Clip IWB holster I used to buy changed the way they are made and I no longer care for the new style and have been OWB carrying most of last year.

It is the most convenient carry system I have tried. It slides easily on your belt, is easy to remove, and is very secure. In my opinion, it holds the weapon to your belt better than a paddle. Its definitely faster and easier to put on and take off since you aren't trying to shove a giant paddle down inside your pants. I wear this holster all day, every day, taking it off 3-4 times a day as I change from workout clothes (don't carry in them) to civilian clothes to my uniform (I don't travel to/from work in uniform) and back. It never shifts when I don't want it to and it conceals in almost everything I wear, which is usually either shorts and a thin t-shirt or my ACUs.
