Friendswood: Combined LTC & Basic Handgun Class

#1

Post by Charles L. Cotton »

When: Friday, June 16th from 8:00AM until 4:00pm.
Where: PSC Shooting Club, Inc - Friendswood, TX
Instructors: Charles Cotton

This is a combination of the Basic Handgun Skills Class (BHS) and the the class required to obtain a Texas License to Carry a Handgun (LTC). It consists of three hours for the BHS portion of the class, plus four and one half hours of classroom instruction for the LTC portion of the class. The LTC range qualification will be shot at the end of the BHS range session. There will be a working lunch after the BHS portion of the class. We have a refrigerator and microwave oven for your use.

The BHS course is designed for people with little or no handgun experience. Students focus on pistol shooting fundamentals including proper grip, sight alignment/sight picture, and trigger control. Mastering these basic skill requirements is critical to developing sufficient proficiency with a handgun to safely and effectively employ it in a defensive shooting situation.

You can shoot any handgun you wish for the BHS portion, but you must use a handgun of at least .32 caliber for the LTC range qualification. This combined class represents a 10% discount for both PSC Members and non-members.

Ammo required: 200 rounds for BHS plus 50 rounds for LTC.
Class duration: 3 hrs.
Class Size: Maximum 10 students
Class Fee: $175 for PSC Members; $200 for Non-Members.
