NM: Neighbors arm up & team up to secure burglar with duct tape

#1

Post by ELB »

Homeowner not at home alerted to intruder by his security system, views intruder on his phone, sees him take beer from fridge. Basta!

Returns home, meets armed husband & wife neighbors. They go inside, confront intruder, duct tape his arms and legs, and carry him outside to wait for the cops.

Good neighbors!

The police do appreciate it when their prisoners are neatly packaged. :smilelol5:

Next up, the poor unfortunate child will undoubtedly sue for emotional distress from being tied up. His family just needs to find his 8th grade yearbook picture to plaster on the news.

Tied up and looks like his pants were pulled down. Why else would that area be greyed out?
In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law to pursue a natural justice.

Yeah the said in the video, that he had stolen the clothes he was wearing, so they probably didn't fit. In the process of being dragged outside, I think they may have dropped into the "thug" position. :biggrinjester:

There will be calls to make duct tape illegal.

Lower capacity rolls? Nobody needs more than 10 feet of duct tape!

One thing I noticed was the woman, who "wrapped up" the BG, moved directly in front of the guy with the gun. He never raised the muzzle to keep from sweeping her, and she should have gone behind him to keep from being in the line of fire. Other than that, it was a pretty well executed take down.

Awesome post. At 1:18 the homeowner would most likely be shot in the back if the perp had of been armed.

He walks in looking at the far wall and then sort of jumps when he realizes the robber is behind him. Slice. The. Pie.

I'm glad it worked out okay, but it seems to me that they would have a less than ideal self defense case if they had been forced to shoot him.

I would have called the police and waited outside.
