Repeal the 2nd Amendment

There is seemingly no end to the extent to which anti-gun people and groups will lie about guns and gun owners. Post links to articles by these masters of prevarication here.

Repeal the 2nd Amendment

That support is a clear sign to lawmakers to enact legislation prohibiting civilian ownership of semiautomatic weapons, increasing the minimum age to buy a gun from 18 to 21 years old, and establishing more comprehensive background checks on all purchasers of firearms. But the demonstrators should seek more effective and more lasting reform. They should demand a repeal of the Second Amendment.

A march of an estimated 200,000, which is considered about average in Washington, is a clear sign?

Millions have marched in Washington to end abortion yet the practice continues to end the lives of thousands of unborn children every week.

The part of the article attacking the NRA was the most troubling. It is though the organization is somehow an unrelated, unconstrained entity.

I would like to ask the former justice a few questions.
1. What makes the NRA so powerful? If you believe that power to be financial, how does it relate to all of the other special interest groups around D.C.?
2. Where did the money come from for all of the buses that brought the crowds in the "March for Life" to D.C. Who organized it? Do you believe that the kids involved had the means to do either the organizing or the financing on their own?
3. Why were the other students from the same school whose sentiments didn't match the march organizers rejected from speaking?
4. Why was Prohibition repealed? By all accounts, it was founded on the best of intentions and the problems that it supposedly addressed are still problems today. Why didn't banning alcohol solve them?

Worth noting that Stevens was nominated to the Court in 1975 by REPUBLICAN Gerald Ford.

Nice vetting Gerry. :grumble

I've been wondering the same thing. When you see so and so person received $30,000 from the NRA, how does that amount relate to the amount of money received from other special interests?

Spend some time checking out this website. It gives quite a bit of insight into lobbying and donations.

I'm glad the gun grabbers are getting more emboldened. It verifies what we have been saying all along. They can quit hiding behind the phrase "nobody wants to take your guns" because it is patently untrue. I know I sound like a broken record at this point.

I love how ridiculous the argument is that the 2nd A is outdated because it grants the right to the state to keep arms. In the Bill of Rights, meant to constrain the government, the 2nd is the only collective right present that empowers the government. The intellectual dishonesty required to make that argument is astounding.

I will try to source it for you but if I remember correctly:

Planned Parenthood had spent nearly $50 million on elections and lobbying since 2012. Meanwhile the NRA has spent $13 million on lobbying efforts since 1998.

Planned Parenthood

Notice how they have multiple entities which makes it challenging to get totals.

Raising the driving age to 25 would save a ton of lives. That also would not violate anyone's fundamental human rights as guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution. Why aren't these kiddos starting with that particular piece of low hanging fruit? Could it be that they are only worried about things that don't impact them personally?

They are children being led around by politically savvy manipulators. Because they are children, logic and reason are not fully developed, even more the case in those who are in the education system which is no longer interested in creating independent thinkers full of knowledge and facts.

These children are not the problem, the problem is that progressive socialists are using mind numbed and traumatized children to pursue their agenda of complete power over the people.
