Nephews encounter with LEO N. Dallas

Most CHL/LEO contacts are positive, how about yours? Bloopers are fun, but no names please, if it will cause a LEO problems!

Nephews encounter with LEO N. Dallas

#1

Post by jmra »

My nephew was pulled over last week for speeding. He was not carrying but handed the officer his DL and CHL anyway. The officer ran the info and came back and said he wasn't going to give him a ticket. He then proceeded to lecture my nephew for several minutes about him being without his firearm. He said he is a firm believer in the 2A and those who qualify for a CHL should carry 24/7 because the police can't be everywhere. He left him with this question, "What if I had needed you and your firearm today to save my life?"
Powerful/positive encounter that really made my nephew think.

I wish that I could read more stories like this ratheer than stories written with a negative slant. Thank you for such a positive story to change a good Sunday into a great one.

That's great that the officer is pro chl but where the heck does he or any cop get off by lecturing about anything not pertaining to legal issue? My carry is my business carry-or not. He's a cop not a parent. Not a buddy. We're not hanging out he is making a custodial stop.
