Need help with online renewal

#1

Post by RossA »

I THINK that I get my renewal paperwork submitted online OK.
Now I am trying to help a friend who is even more computer illiterate than I am. We downloaded forms, filled them out, and I am now trying to submit them to the state. When I go to the Renew A License or Instructor Certificate webpage and put in his login info, it goes to a page that only has a link to renew his LTC, not his instructor certificate. Tried several times and can't get to the instructor renewal page.
God and the soldier we adore,
In times of danger, not before.
The danger gone, the trouble righted,
God's forgotten, the soldier slighted.

That's the sign in page I have been going to. Just tried it again, and again it just gives the option for a LTC, not for an instructor.

It is not real clear:

Returning Users
Can:
Retrieve a saved application
Renew your License or Instructor Certification

just go ahead and sign in. DPS will figure out that you are renewing your instructor cert.

That's not the instruction I am being given. There is nothing about an instructor certification on the page I am being directed to.

Likely the browser you were using was remembering your saved data. Clearing your cache might have helped too. Glad you got it figured out.
