Electronic Signature LTC-100

#1

Post by kg5ie »

I think I know the answer but I want to check before I hose a bunch of students.

I can use an electronic signature on the LTC-100? Instructions do not specifically state you can. Since I have to throw out everything I have already printed :banghead: , I thought this would be a good time to add a signature.

I use a digital signature for all of my CHL-8s & -100s (or LTC-8s & -100s now) without an issue.

:iagree:
I have used a scanned image of my signature on all -8's and -100's since I started printing them "real time" several years back.

Ditto. Digital signature. Print direct to PDF and upload to RSD. Then print a hardcopy for my records.

How do you add the digital signature to the PDF? I've done it before with other PDFs - insert a copy of my signature - but the LTC-100 (or LTC-8) doesn't seem to allow me to do that.

Couple of ways to do it.

https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/how-to/ ... -pdf-forms

1) graphics file containing image of your signature.

2) Acrobat digitally signed signature.

For certain types of documents, the digitally signed signature is the way you want to go. RSD, in my experience, has no issue with a simple image of your signature.

If you go image file. You can create one with a pen interface, or even a touch pad on a laptop. Or, scan a clean copy of your signature. Trick there is to drop the noise out of the white background, beef up the black of the signature. Play with the curve balance or other ways. That way when you drop the signature into a document it will look more natural.

Got it; thanks for the help.

There appear to be two "sign" icons that do different things. I was clicking on one, which didn't offer the signature image option. With the help of the above link, I found the second one that does.
