Took the class yesterday afternoon. The instructors, both civilian and the DPS officer, all understood that most of what they were saying was "old news" and that we had heard it many times before. It almost seemed like they were a little apologetic that we had to take a class (and that they had to teach a class) that was 90% repetition. Nice guys, just having to do what the law requires whether it's needed or not.
Saw a few open carries there, not many.
Now my soapbox: The biggest problem to me and to my friend that I attended with was not the instructors, but the students. There are always a few who have to ask questions which have just been answered just so they can try to argue the law, or show that they know more than anyone else in the room.

Thursday Afternoon Class Report
God and the soldier we adore,
In times of danger, not before.
The danger gone, the trouble righted,
God's forgotten, the soldier slighted.

The danger gone, the trouble righted,
God's forgotten, the soldier slighted.

There are some in every crowd. The ones that annoy me the most, are the ones, that even after they are shown facts, in a book or manual, will still argue, that "someone" told them differently, and they want to cling to that belief, as if it were gospel.
