Used wrong number on LTC-8

#1

Post by mloamiller »

I recently finished an instructor renewal proficiency with a friend who is also an instructor, and submitted my LTC-8 for him. After I submitted it, he let me know that he had given me the wrong number - the LTC-8 requires a DL number, but he gave me his LTC number by mistake, which I used on the LTC-8.

Does anyone know if DPS will still accept the LTC-8 with an LTC number instead of DL number?

If not, what is the process for correcting it? Do I just submit another LTC-8 with the correct number, or do I need to call them?

Send in a correct LTC-8, so your friend can get his certificate.
You should ALSO contact DPS so they know that the number on the previous LTC-8 is incorrect.
Mistakes happen, not a big deal, but getting the correct LTC-8 in the system will help your friend.

I called DPS about sending in a corrected form, and the said that in this instance - an instructor renewal proficiency - we do not have to submit the LTC-8.
