Using the search feature

#1

Post by JLaw »

When I try to use the search feature, I come up with hundreds of links unrelated to what I'm actually searching for. For example, I tried searching for "model 10", as in S&W Model 10, and it brought up every instance that "model" was used in a topic or reply. Can someone please educate me on how to properly and effeciently use the search function, including use of any quotation marks, etc? If you don't, I'll keep bugging you with requests for information that has been covered 30 times already!!

Click "search for all terms."

You will still get less related results, but the closest matches are higher up.

I just rana query with "model 10" (but w/o quotes) under these conditions and this was the first hit.

Hope this helps.

PS - don't feel too bad about being redundant in your questioning. Not very likely to get generic "check the FAQ/Search before posting" rebuke on this forum.
