WTB Judge or Governor

#1

Post by Diz »

CHL holder wants to buy a Taurus Judge or S&W Governor for "snake gun". With or with out holster, ammo, and other stuff. Will pay fair price.

Unless you have time to put hearing protection on you will be deaf shooting one of these with a shotshell. I have a Governor. I will throw the gun at a snake before shooting it without muffs.

growing up on the farm it was quite conmon to have a 410 strapped to your back. You could probably buy it in chrome if you like the look! :biggrinjester:

Do yourself a favor and buy some CCI vermin shot for one of your current pistols......it patterns better.

Tried that with my .44 mag, too heavy to carry. Know where to get it for a 9mm?

I just weighed a 10 round mag of CCI shot shells and 10 rounds of 180 gr. Gold Dots. Both are in .40. The shot shells are lighter.

It's not the shells, it's that .44 mag is heavier.
Don't care for .22 but I would consider one now that you mention it. I remember they do have "rat shot" for them.
Thanks

Here is my suggestion. Buy the new Colt Cobra and some CCI 38 special snake loads. I load my own in 38 special with #9 shot. I use a Ruger LCR but would have bought a Cobra had they been available. Judge and Governor are big, the 410 is unbelievably loud in a revolver. Nice thing about the Governor is that you can shoot 45 ACP as well. Judge lets you shoot bigger shotshells. Colt Cobra and any of the snub 38's can serve as a concealed gun. You aren't going to conceal a Governor or Judge. I think 22 snake shot is too light personally. Lots of YouTube vids.

Thanks, no need to conceal. I agree with you on the 22.
