Force-on-Force is extremely valuable training. That was interesting seeing a legal breakdown, but of course legality does change with jurisdiction. I do wonder what specific jurisdictions there are where shooting a armed robber, who also threatened a customer with a pistol and still had that pistol in hand as he ran would be considered a bad shoot? The badguy was still very much a deadly threat. Maybe the threat was just moving to cover in order to return fire? It would be a bad shoot if he dropped his weapon and then was shot in the back while running away.
