Wife finally decided on a carry gun

#1

Post by karder »

My wife got her CHL a couple of months back, but had not acquired her own carry gun. She has carried a few of mine, but rightfully so, she wanted her own that she can train with and use exclusively. I finally got her to go gun shopping yesterday (I know, tough gig). We looked at quite a few things, LCR, LCP, Sig 238, Kimber Solo, Beretta Nano, Walther PPS, and so on. As we were looking around, the shop owner tells me that he "thinks" he has a Shield 9mm in the back that he had not put under the glass. Sure enough, he came out with a shiny new S&W. My brother has the same gun and she had fired that model a bit and really liked it. About 5 minutes later, we had the purchase wrapped up. Nothing says "love" like getting your gal a 9mm! I am really happy with her choice and I am thrilled that she will be carrying regularly. Time to trade out the pepper spray for hollow points! I gotta admit, I am getting a bit of gun envy as I lug around a full-size pistol while she has that neat little Shield tucked away. Now, I just gotta find and XDs for me!

Awesome. Nice little gun in a 9mm. Wish I could get my lovely wife to carry. Congrats. I'm sure you feel much better knowing she is carrying as well. :thumbs2:

Great for both of you!
