I can't shake the desire for a large loop lever action rifle and single action revolver in matching calibers. I'm leaning toward the Braztech R92 and a 5.5" Ruger Vaquero in 45LC. I've also been wanting a Ruger Gunsite Scout for a while. With prices coming down it might happen.

Maybe not my next because I have been looking for a while, but Ruger used to make the Blackhawk in .30 carbine.

Ruger SR762. Oh, I just bought one and it is Fedex back to Ruger. Let's say I hope to get a working Ruger SR762.

Lots that I want to get, but, aside from finishing my AR-10 and AR-15 builds, the only one that I seriously thinking about is a Glock 20 or 10mm P220 (or P227).

(I'd prefer the Sig, but my wallet would undoubtable prefer the Glock)

AlaskanInTexas, I've been looking at that exact same Marlin model for a while now. Not exactly something you'd want to sling 100 rounds down range in one sitting with, but if you've absolutely got to stop a charging grizzly NOW, it will do fine. I noticed a few times in Alaska State Trooper episodes that if the trooper had to head into the woods in bear country, the AR stayed in the car, and the Guide Gun came along.

The first gun my dad ever gave me outright: Colt Python .357 magnum, nickel plated, 6-inch barrel

It got stolen along with nearly 90% of my dad's whole gun collection about a month after he died. It'll be a while until I buy one, but the OP's question was about 'want', not 'really going to get'.

(wouldn't this thread be more fun with pictures?)

When those fail, aim for center mass.
