Range bag for multiple handguns

#1

Post by jmra »

Looking for a range bag that has multiple compartments for handguns. Saw a picture on the forum a while back that the side of the bag unzipped and there were slots for multi pistols. That's what I'm looking for but not having much luck.
Any help would be appreciated.

This is a backpack that sounds similar to what you're describing:

I have a bag by the same company that I am very happy with:

I have this one and know a few others who do as well

It has space for about 16 magazines, as well as A LOT of other storage
I have often went to the range with 6 or more handguns, magazines, ammo and many other things in this bag

I've been using this one from MidwayUSA for about 18 months for IDPA/Action Pistol/3Gun and general range use:

http://www.midwayusa.com/product/939221 ... bag-system

It can fit four handguns (2 in pistol bags, 2 in the stage bag) 14 magazines (8 in large exterior pocket, 6 in stage bag) and lots of other stuff. It has held up very well. I also like that it's available in multiple colors. Mine is coyote tan, to avoid the 'not another black bag' lament from my bride. ;-)

I have the same bag.

If I had to do it over again, I would take a hard look at the Shooting Bags offered by Competitive Edge Dynamics. MidwayUSA copied their stuff anyway, and from what I have seen the CED has better quality. They have both shooting bags and shooting backpacks.

I like the looks of their CED/DAA RangePack Pro Backpack and their CED Deluxe Professional Range Bag

Looks like they relabeled the G outdoor handgunner backpack. I like the NRA patch but not for an extra $25.

I use one of these as a range bag. The wife got me one for Christmas a while back. There are two large zipper compartments to either side of the main compartment that are big enough for pistols, small zipper pockets that work awesome for mags and the end caps fit eyes/ears really well.

...and it doesn't look like I'm carrying a small arsenal with me when I take it out.

I pity the small country....or is that your Walmart bag?
I like to keep this handy... for close encounters.

I like the "not guns, not tactical" look of that thing. It looks like it would also easily carry a SBR or a broken down M4. Am I right? One of those may be in my future.

The big section is about 20" by 12', maybe 8" deep.

Probably too tight for a long gun, even broken down, but its possible?
