Problem in Rebarreling

#1

Post by DianaW »

Hey there everyone! I'm glad to be part of this forum. I'm excited to hear your insights and to share mine as well.
I 'm wondering if you could help me with my problem in barreling a 30.6 action to a 308 length case. Some can be fed from the right bank but a couple would not feed at all. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance..

Not sure how a barrel diameter would effect an action.

Some more information would help. Make and model of the action (or type if it is a design used by multiple manufacturers) most importantly. The source of the ammo is also important because reloads introduce a number of factors that have to be considered such as neck sizing vs full length sizing. It might also help to know who installed the action.
How do you explain a dog named Sauer without first telling the story of a Puppy named Sig?

Besides the fact that 30.06 is a long action and the .308 is a short action, they also have different shoulder demintions.
