Victory 22LR or 1911-22 - Any onwers out there?
Greetings,
Last weekend I participated in an action pistol match at NTSA and used my SA 1911A1 45ACP.
Had lots of fun and can't wait for next match next month.
There is also a rimfire action pistol match about once a month and I am looking at the S&W Victory 22lr for that match or the Browning 1911-22.
I like the Browning look, it's almost identical to my 45acp 1911, but I think the S&W Victory might be more enjoyable in the long run (match barrels, red dots, etc...).
Does anyone have any feed back on either weapon? Any pros/cons for each? Or perhaps another model?
Thanks in advance!

Don't overlook the idea of putting a 22lr conversion on your 1911.
I have a Kimber conversion on one of my 1911 frames and it is the most fun to shoot pistol I own. It's more accurate than I am.

I have Victory with Tandemkross compensator

Can't speak as to it's suitability for matches as I've never shot in one, but it is a good shooter. Lots of accessories available for it.

The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager

I have a Victory, bone stock. Just point it at something you want a little hole in and pull the trigger. What's not to like?

For a match, I would only consider a modern design. I love mini-1911s, and have the Browning and a dozen other varieties in that size 1911, but they aren't target pistols. The .22 conversion for a 5" 1911 is a good one, My Ciener kit on a dedicated frame is very accurate and has great adjustable sights.

I have a couple of Victory handguns with threaded barrels. I haven't competed with them but I do shoot them primarily suppressed and they have been 100%. I've had lots of other 22s and currently only have the Victory 22LRs, really like them.
I recently mounted an UltraDot PanAV red dot optic and Tandemkross charging handle and really like that set up (not pictures).

Thanks to everyone for the input.
Leaning heavily towards the Victory.
Now, sell a gun to buy the Victory or just buy it outright?
Ask wife for permission or forgiveness later on?
Life is full questions, thanks again to all!
