I have a fleet of 4 Gen4 17s that I use in training classes. They've been dropped, bumped into stuff and fired thousands of times each. I've replaced the recoil spring assemblies once on each pistol, but other than cleaning them, no other maintenance. They're great training guns. No extra levers to have to learn to get in the way of learning to shoot.

Pushed it back in, at stage 5 inserted a new mag, slide would not move forward. Cleared weapon, Removed the pin, reinserted, then it worked fine.
So, not a convert?
In all seriousness, that stinks! I would have also been severely disappointed.
Not giving up on it just yet.
Disassembled, cleaned, reassembled last night.
Will take to the range again and put a couple hundred rounds thru it.
If it fails again, will call Glock.
