Savage 69R-H

I was going through the safe yesterday and found a shotty I had forgotten I picked up a few years back (I could never go in to GT Distributors and walk out empty handed... ). I've been trying to do some research on it, and haven't had much luck.

"State of Arizona" engraved on the stock

So apparently these are the State / Police versions of the Vietnam era Stevens 77E from what I've read. Nothing fancy...supposedly a lower cost option to the Ithaca 37?

Much beyond that, I'm finding nothing.

Does anyone have any details on this shotgun? Are 77E parts interchangeable with the 69R-H? Good candidate as a SBS?

Some information on shotty websites says they were AZ LE and National Guard guns and identical to the 77E.
