Forgotten Weapons -John "Duke" Wayne .22 autoloader

I saw this rifle mentioned on TV today and was intrigued. Looked it up on the web. Ingenious design features like easy access, take down and a double stack magazine. The TV show had a guy firing it. Wayne Repeating Arms Company. It was designed to compete with the 10/22. It looks to be a more man sized gun than the 10/22, though it's boxy appearance probably would take a lot of "John Wayne" endorsements, ads and commercials to sell it. The squared receiver reminds me of some of the early 20th Century .22 semi-auto repeaters.

Ya know, if someone did put that into production, I might buy one.

Now I need to do a google search and find out what else Mr Sullivan designed or built.

He goes by Jim but some on some sites he's L. James Sullivan, including Wikipedia. You'll find quite a bit.
