I missed my chance on one of these guns when they were reasonable. Colt says once they finish the new cobra line the Python will return. Most likely a year or two would be my guess.

Oh cool I’m getting one like Rick’s in The Walking Dead! I’ve wanted one since the ‘80s and had to settle for a Taurus and a Ruger.
4/13/1996 Completed CHL Class, 4/16/1996 Fingerprints, Affidavits, and Application Mailed, 10/4/1996 Received CHL, renewed 1998, 2002, 2006, 2011, 2016...). "ATF... Uhhh...heh...heh....Alcohol, tobacco, and GUNS!! Cool!!!!"

I’m every excited! I’ve wanted one since I was a little kid! That gun is a bucket list gun. I remember the first time I saw one. We were on a hunting trip and had the opportunity to bring home some bacon. I was too young to shoot anything I was along for the ride but my dads best friend took a huge pig with one shot at 30 yards right behind the ear. You talk about dropping like a bad habit! Ever since that day I have wanted one! I’m gonna be following colts webtsite closely!

Re: The Colt Python is coming back!!!
I carried a nickel-plated Python my first year at the sheriff's department - but I switched to my Beretta by year 2.
The Python went back in my dad's collection, and was lost forever when my mom experience a burglary shortly after my dad's death. 90% of his guns walked out the door that day, and have never been recovered.
But Mrs. VolTexan has always known of my love of the snake gun, so she bought me one a few years ago. It was blued instead of nickel-plated, but it is a lovely shooter, indeed. It traveled with me to Florence last December, and was the revolver I qualified with at my LTC instructor course.
Lesson learned: you've gotta love a woman that'll buy you a Python.

I hope they make some in stainless instead of (or in addition to) nickel plated. Love to have one.

I had one until my ex did away with it. I wonder how expensive these will be.
It's fine if you disagree. I can't force you to be correct.

A pistol without a round chambered is an expensive paper weight.

I’d rather have a Korth but I’d take this Nighthawk version:http://www.nighthawkcustom.com/revolver ... ngoose-357
