I have a Ruger MkIII 22/45 and a S&W Victory (which unfortunately is at S&W for repair). I hadn’t really paid attention to the M&P 22, but have put it on my wish list since I already have 4 other M&P pistols.

Probably will sell the Ruger since I have only shot it a couple of times and never since buying the Victory.
The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager

I should have mentioned that all 3 P22's I've been around are the 5" models and never thought how that could effect how well they cycle.
In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law to pursue a natural justice.

I have the compact P22 and it's finicky. I bought it to use as a kit gun but it's not reliable enough for that role. I should've got a DA 22 revolver, and still may.

I like my S&W M&P 22 Compact.
I haven't shot it that much, but haven't had any issues with ammo, FTF, etc.
The trigger is decent.

One of the reasons I bought it was was the similarity to other carry guns.

Wow, that IS very “Glock-like”. What does one of those run, and can you get them with a threaded barrel?

I've seen them on sale a few times. I think Bud's had one for around $300. They are readily available on Gunbroker used for around $250 depending on your timing. I'm not sure if they are all threaded but I know some are.

FYI - The M&P 22 Compact is available with a threaded barrel. Academy has them listed for $369.99

I’ve had a P22 for years, it’s the gun I taught both kids to shoot a semiauto hand gun with. If you’d like run it I’d be happy to meet at the range.
