Need A Fix For A Paddle Holster

I am not a huge fan of paddle holsters for several reasons. One of them is because I have seen two holsters in a stress situation separate from the paddle. Now I found myself really liking this Galco. Once again I am concerned with the holster separating from the paddle. Is there any of you DIY guys that have a plan that might make this paddle holster a little more stable if for nothing else just my peace of mind or do I have anything to really fear?

My first pistol, which I bought from my wife's recently widowed aunt, came with a Fobus paddle holster. I really liked being able to easily remove the holstered pistol from my belt. After wearing it for a few years, and doing some research, I came to understand that the attachment point where the rivets hold the holster body to the paddle was a point of failure.

My final solution, which I have carried for a year now, Is the Safariland Quick Locking System. Solid, multi-point attachment yet I am still able to easily remove the holstered pistol from my belt.

With paddle holsters, my concerns are the same as yours.

Assuming this is actually Kydex, it is half acrylic and half pvc. You can try using an acrylic cement. It should bond the acrylic together at the molecular level, and the cement part should pond the pvc portion well enough to hold it tight. Keep the screws in to tighten it down for gluing, and afterwards too for extra support. I'd just dump the paddle holster and go for belt loops if I were you (that's actually what I did), but adding the cement should increase your peace of mind.
