I had an FFL that I let lapse during the Clinton fiasco. When the BATFE decided to require dealers to comply with local zoning ordinances, I chose not to renew rather than trying to get a zoning variance. (They are available in Friendswood now.)sailor2000 wrote:Before Clinton, I ran a home based FFL. I know the cost of doing a 4473. Charging more than $20 for a transfer is unreasonable, especially for a CHL.
Gulf coast arms Friendswood is very reasonable.
I use MRVMAX (Modern Defensive Measures) in Friendswood for all of my transfers. He's not only reasonable on his fees, he has been a big supporter of the PSC Juniors Program and the Youth Action Pistol League. He did the transfers for all of the guns related to those programs at no charge.
