Here is a copy of an email and mail-out that's going to TSRA members in Rep. Martha Wong's Texas House District.

If you can help, please lend a hand. This is an important race.

Thanks,
Chas.

Volunteers Needed from the Houston Metroplex To Help Endorsed Candidate in Texas State House District 134

Dear Houston-Area TSRA Member:

TSRA-PAC endorsed candidate State Rep. Martha Wong is in a tough re-election battle for her State House seat. Several years ago, with your help, she defeated anti-gun incumbent Debra Danburg - who was best know for her sponsorship of legislation to shut down Texas gun shows as we know them.

Martha Wong has been a solid supporter of gun owners' rights since she was elected in 2002. Now she faces a tough challenge by another anti-gun candidate. You cannot afford to let this State House seat slip away again to another opponent of our right to keep and bear arms!

The Martha Wong Campaign needs your help with block walking throughout the district and phone banking.

Block walking begins at 9:30AM every Saturday and 1:00PM every Sunday thru Election Day. Walkers will meet at the campaign office at 3825 Richmond between Weslayen and Timmens, right across from the old HISD Administrative Building. Campaign staff will brief and prepare you there. The campaign will also provide Martha Wong T-Shirts, bottled water and snacks. Remember to wear comfortable shoes.

Phone banking nights will vary each week and take place at Harris County Republican Party Headquarters at 3311 Richmond, Suite 218. This week, phone banks for Martha Wong will be taking place on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Please contact the Wong campaign to find out which nights phone calls will be made for Martha over subsequent weeks.

If you are interested in volunteering for either of these important activities to help re-elect TSRA-PAC endorsed candidate Rep. Martha Wong, please contact Allyson Nixon, Volunteer Coordinator for the Wong Campaign at (713) 621-0888.

Give of your time! and do it now!
