Cancer, West Nile Virus, Flu, etc

Just posting about something I've done since the 1990s. You may or may not be interested.

You can help fight cancer etc with a program on your computer which does not "run in the background" but uses the "idle processes" instead ... in other words, it does not slow your computer etc, it uses only the moments between keypresses, or when everything is idle.

My computer is on 24/7 since I use a Magic Jack for my phone, and used to run AT LEAST 5 computers 24/7 when I was in charge of security for the chat servers at MSN, before we closed it all down.

I run:

Help Fight Childhood Cancer and Help Conquer Cancer and other projects on mine, and have been for years and years. Lots of worthwhile projects there, and it costs nothing to help.... an idle unused processor cycle is a terrible thing to waste. (hit ctrl alt del for your task Manager, look at the Processes list ... System Idle Process at 90% or so is wasted processing power which if used, may save a life of a loved one someday)

My mom died in 1984 of an "incurable" Leukemia. In 2010, I met a living woman who had the exact same type, she got it 2 years later in 1986, when they had discovered a cure ...
