If you don't vote for Trump, if he is the nominee, you are in essence throwing it to Clinton or whatever commie lib traitor they throw down our throats.
Trump may only give you 40% of what you are looking for, Cruz may give you 90%, Hillary and other lib buzzards will surely take away 100%, and that is a 140% departure from what Trump could deliver.

I get that people are fed up, I'm at the cusp of damning them all myself, but, gotta look what's coming if you choose to sit it out.

40% of something, or 100% of nothing.

Watching them come out of their little rat holes waving Mexican flags in my Country in an effort to suppress Trump, makes my blood boil. I'll do whatever it takes to push our nominee to the front.

I saw at HEB the other day the startling revelation that Cruz has been linked to the Kennedy Assassination, maybe both of the assassinations! I was in the express check out so didn't get to read the article. There was a photo of his dad with Lee Harvey Oswald!
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

:smilelol5: I almost missed that story as I was deep into how Boehner is actually part of the alien conspiracy that controls the government and that he originates from the seemingly idyllic paradise planet Gamma Trianguli VI...

This is where I'm at with all of it. If Trump is the last bullet that can prevent a Hillary presidency, I have to pull the trigger for him, even though the round might be a squib. At least I'll be able to look my kids and grandkids in the eye and tell them I did everything that I could.

Sorry, but that no longer works. If you vote for Trump you are handing the election to Hillary, because Trump cannot beat her. He loses to her even in red states and gets clobbered in blue states. For example, Hillary got 1 MILLION more votes in NY than Trump did.

Trump doesn't give me 1% of what I want. If he were elected (he won't be), he would destroy the US even worse than Hillary would. He has no principles at all, no guiding core that tells him what to do, and he would use the power of the government to get his way just as a dictator would.

I will NOT have my vote associated with such a man, and no amount of whining about losing to Hillary will change my mind. I'd rather have Hillary than Trump. At least with Hillary I know what I'm getting.

Oh, I'm not sitting it out. I will be voting. But not for Trump. Those that do only have themselves to blame.

False dichotomy. It's 100% communist or 100% bat crazy authoritarian idiot who will destroy the nation and cause a civil war.

Good luck with that. He will lose in a landslide, and all you people who fell for his con will be stunned beyond belief that you could have been fooled so badly.

I remember how Romney was dismantled. Part was him throwing in the towel at someone's request (my opinion), the other part was that for some he wasn't conservative enough, wasn't this or that enough, he is Mormon, some disliked Palin etc etc etc.
So, we got 8 years of this monster in the WH.
Excellent!

Now, I hope that we call all unite and push our nominee across the finish line this time around.

He (Trump) may be liberal on social issues and I may disagree with him on 80% of social issues. When it comes to defense of my Country and Immigration policy alone however, there is no doubt in my mind that given a choice of Trump vs. Pantsuit, I'd sleep better at night knowing that Trump is at the wheel.

But yea, don't vote for him if he's the nominee. Just please don't complain when God forbid that drooling buffoon Sanders orders red brigades to your home.

You don't get it. Even if every Republican that votes votes for Trump, he will still lose. Women hate him. Hispanics hate him. Blacks hate him. He CANNOT win. I know, I'm wasting my breath, but I guarantee you I will be saying I told you so when the smoke clears and the country is gone.

BTW, this is my last word on this. We've already erased the line set by Charles' rules, and I won't participate in erasing it further. I've made my position crystal clear. I won't defend it further.

Trump would destroy US worse then Hillary?

That's a leftist talking point verbadum, and I hope it wasn't intended to come across as such.

By the way, latest poll show Trump ahead. He has been clobbered from all sides and laughed at and dismissed from day 1. Nothing new there.

I am telling you, I see more visceral hatred in this Country from some people for Trump then against ISIS, yet he keeps climbing, and baldeagle this is not directed straight at you...

Vote as you wish and for whom you wish. Just please tell Cruz to stop using religion to gain political steam. It is unbecoming of a man of Faith.

Vote however you wish, as for me, I'll push our nominee forwards.

That's one out of 7 polls, and within the margin of error.

Well, no one would expect any of the three to honor the pledge - so much for party loyalty.

In "Meet The Press" yesterday Cruz was asked many times as to whether or not he would support the Republican nominee if it were Trump but he would not give a direct answer. In case you missed it, see http://pages.suddenlink.net/daleb/index.htm

I wish someone could convince me that Trump will be better than Hillary but right now I just don't see it although I don't think they will necessarily be bad in the same way.

With Hillary, we get more of the Obama administration although I don't think she as quite as radical as Obama is.

With both Hillary and Trump, we get liberal judges including Supreme Court justices. This is of huge importance to me since the primary ways the President affects abortion and gun control is through the courts. Although Obama has shown that some can be done on those issues with the use of executive orders and regulatory actions. Hilary might be worse on those than Trump but I doubt Trump will rescind anything Obama has already done on those issues. So on two of my primary issues, I see Trump and Hillary as a toss up.

On my other major issue, government spending, I don't see any evidence that Trump will be significantly if any different than Hillary. And that is going to destroy this country.

On immigration Trump is probably better, but he could create trade wars that will destroy the world economy which I don't think Hillary will do.

Moreover, Trump will get Republican legislative all out approval for what he will do which may destroy not only the Republican party but also conservatism.

Finally I don't see any difference in character. They both are liars and crooks.

I certainly won't vote for Hillary but I am having a real hard time seeing how I can vote for Trump. I hate this election because I don't see how the Republic survives whoever wins!

I voted for Romney in the general and I will never again vote against my conscience in the name of party unity.

I am glad Romney lost, be would have had the political capital to pass universal background checks and another assault weapons ban after Sandy hook.

My political brothers from another mother.

I don't see the republican party surviving this election cycle as a major player. Now that the democrat party has dropped all pretenses and given itself over to socialism, I can see two things happening. One is that any remaining sane democrats (I'm thinking of Jim Webb, for example) will probably either become independents or republicans (where they will fit right in). The other is that the democrat party becomes the one monolithic party, while the opposition degenerates into coalitions of smaller parties of differing ideologies, but with one think in common and that is an enmity for the democrats.

TAM, you are right on about fragmentation of Republican Party into coalition of smaller parties with different ideologies.

Republican Party does not represent my ideology. It comes close, MUCH closer then Democratic Party, but there are some serious differences that I and millions of other Americans have with the GOP.

I am social libertarian and fiscal conservative. Your freedom to be free includes my freedom to be free from you.
I want to boost our military but not spread it across the globe, while our borders are leaking and Country is imploding from within.

I am Christian, and I despise usage of Religion to promulgate political expediency, on either side. Frankly, due to my background perhaps, I have an enormous aversion to Beck and his ilk. To me, a religious fanaticism is just that...religious fanaticism, regardless whether it comes from side A or side B. People like that (Beck) are far more dangerous then some may think, especially if they rise to some level of political prominence.

Frankly, I think we need more then current two party system where people like you and I get shortchanged every time, so in that regard, if GOP wants to blow itself up, so be it.
