For the citizenry who care to stand up against things they know go against the Constitution, they also need law enforcement officials who will not side with elitist left-wing politicians. The sheriffs in New York State who said they wouldn't enforce the intentionally mis-titled "SAFE Act" are a great example. However, if law enforcement sides with the left-wing political leaders, they will arrest/jail anyone who dares dissent against whatever schemes that their political bosses cook up; that's how it works in socialist nations, even in places like the UK or Germany. Those places even have "hate speech laws" and you can get arrested for saying something not considered politically correct. While that may result in a great backlash here in the USA, it might also serve to chill any dissent simply because most people don't want to go to jail. Look at how disarmed and at risk the citizenry of New Jersey is right now. The politicians in New Jersey seem to be on the side of the criminals more than the citizenry. You can be arrested there for simple things Texans take for granted, like having hollow-point ammunition. What if it were like that across the nation? What if a Gary McCarthy (Chicago PD Chief) type ran every major police department in Texas and the laws were no longer on our side? I really wouldn't want things to come to that, certainly not in my lifetime, nor at any point in the future. Better to find a way to stop it before it happens.

Hate Trump? That's very mature. Seriously. He's not a leader.

But what he might be is a catalyst. Gingrich's Republican Revolution failed. The Tea Party was marginalized out of visible existence.

Nobody can ignore Trump, and we should use that.

For instance, Paul Ryan said yesterday he is not ready to support Trump. Presumably, and please take note, he's deciding if Bernie or Hillary might be more to his liking.

I am overjoyed with the prospect of voting for Trump, who might be the worst President, barring Obama, since Harding and his Teapot Dome.

That's not because I like Trump, but because he gives me a battlefield. Ryan unmasked himself when he said he was still on the fence as to whether he would support Hillary or Bernie (or, horrors, Trump).

I don't have to make the case for the essential unfaithfulness of elected officials. They make that case for me.

Thank goodness the election isn't tomorrow. I want to savor every day of the long journey to the poll to vote for Trump. I want our elected officials to have as many Trump-nightmare filled nights as possible between now and election day to realize how badly they have treated us.

Besides, it's all over soon anyway. With the national debt, you could pave a 40 mile two-lane road with dollar bills 165 feet deep. It would take 45,000 fully loaded 747's to carry the weight of all that paper money, except, of course, Boeing only built about 1,500.

And if none of that hits your panic button, consider this. We owe $19 trillion. There's only about $2 trillion that actually exists as real money.

We not only owe more than we have, more than anybody has, we owe more than actually exists - by ten-fold.

The last time I paid it that much attention, the astounding thing wasn't $19 Trillion in debt -- it was around five times that much (if the Government was asked to account for things the way public businesses have to). The political class has been running a shell game for a LONG time, and so far they've been amazingly successful at fleecing the masses without stirring them up. It won't last forever, and unfortunately the only way positive change can come is via very dark times indeed.

Just remember that every vote not cast in protest or for a third party candidate and not Trump was brought on by the republican party and if Hillary is elected it's not the fault of the people that didn't vote for Trump. The blame lies squarely on the inept elected republicans during at least the last 8 years if not more.

Are you convinced Trump really will push to pursue charges against Hillary if he wins? I am not so sure he is the true adversary to the Clintons many think. The way he and other politicians can change their public opinions of one another from one day to the next, I'm not so sure Trump's animosity toward Hillary is sincere.

Funny how anti-conspiracy theory folks ,when it comes to Finnicum's murder or Justice Scalia's strange passing, are literally the first to propagate Trump conspiracies here. :headscratch
Not all, but most.

The problem with the system is that a great majority on either side of the isle will treat every sound bite and every Meme as Gospel without any investigation on there own. The low information voters are fast becoming the majority.

Funny how folks are all, "I aint voting Trump" and #NeverTrump people.. Acting like a child who didn't get their way, taking their ball and going home.

Voting Gary Johnson, another third party or staying home is voting for Hillary.

Everyone is entitled to their right, voting or staying home, but have no right to complain afterwards, when Hillary is President.

Yall need to suck it up, and think about what's best for America and not be SELFISH.

While Trump is not THEE best candidate out there, he is a million times better then seeing President Hillary. Hillary will get in there and pick anywhere from 2 to 3 Supreme Court Justices and our country will be DOOMED.

Before voting, think about your children (or grandchildren) and the future they have ahead of them, do you want them living in a socialist, Liberal, politically correct society with all their rights slowly being stripped away each year? Well not me.

Heck, I would have voted for Cruz, Paul, Huckabee.. or Donk the Clown if it meant, no Hillary and a republican in the White House.. or do we need to repeat the '92 election where all those dopes threw away their votes on Ross Perot, causing Bush to lose and giving 8 years of Slick Willy.

So before staying home or pulling that trigger on Gary Johnson (or another dopey third party) Think of your future and your families future.

Naw, I think it will take more than Hillary (or Trump) to doom America. Sure, Hillary is the pits but how do you compare? Honesty? What?

If I were running the Republican Party I'd focus all party resources on congressional elections and "support" Trump just like the Speaker is doing. Vote for Trump if you'd really like him to represent America but not just for the heck of it like many must be doing. I believe what got Trump where he is was wishful thinking and there are no guarantees for anything.

Does anybody listen to conservative commentators?
