Previous!y committed Pennsylvania man has 2nd Amendment rights restored

Jonathan Yox was involuntarily committed as a teenager for suicidal tendencies. But as an adult, he served in the military and works as a correctional officer. Those activities required him to be in possession of firearms. There've been no problems, and all evidence indicates Yox is cured. The federal district court restored his 2nd Amendment rights.

Dang, you beat me to it.

This was a major absurdity: the federal government is arguing that because of his commitment as a juvenile he is too big a risk to allow possession of firearms as a citizen -- but if it benefits the feds then he can have guns as a soldier or a law enforcement officer.
:banghead:

Even worse, Volokh thinks the Feds are going to carry this argument to an appeal (the decision was in a district court).
