Here is my timeline for application:

Submitted application: 4/10/2017
Fingerprints: 4/11/2017
Submitted supporting documents to RSD same day as fingerprints: 4/11/2017
Receipt of supporting documents from RSD: 4/12/2017

It's been one week, I checked this morning, but nothing has changed yet on the site. It only gives the generic application answer. About how long does it take until the detailed status list appears?

Here's my timeline

Submitted application: 4/15/2017
Fingerprints: 4/17/2017
Submitted supporting documents to RSD same day as application: 4/15/2017
Receipt of supporting documents from RSD: 4/17/2017
Print Pending: 4/26/2017

Should be here in a few days! I was surprised to see a less than two week turn around when other friends had to wait close to the full 60 days, guess this time of year isnt busy?

March 20th everything submitted
April 3rd waiting on fingerprints and BG check
April 18 print pending
April 25th mailed
It's on its way, I check the box 3 times a day!!
:txflag: :biggrinjester:

Update: May 3rd still nothing in mail box. Afraid it got lost in mail!

Update: May 8th still no license, so I called the State. She told me the address it was sent to and I figured out why it hasn't shown up. They didn't put my Apt. Number. She waived the replacement fee and has sent for a new license to be printed! And also made sure the correct apt number was on there! Maybe another 2 weeks and it will be here?!

Update: May 16th Plastic finally safely in my hand!!!

So my time line is a little different and let me make a few suggestions to get things moving along. So 20 yrs ago I was arrested and the charges were dismissed. Just because of an arrest, this changes your timeline significantly. Do not despair, as long as you DO NOT have a conviction. You will be fine, but they are going to make you wait. :banghead:

Here's my timeline

Submitted application: 2/4/2017
Fingerprints: 2/5/2017
Submitted supporting documents to RSD same day as application: 2/5/2017
Receipt of supporting documents from RSD: 2/14/2017
Submitted supporting documents from arrest dismissal: 4/19/2017
Print Pending: 5/1/2017 :woohoo

Should be here in 7-14 days according to the email, saying I was "Approved" and it was being printed.

So I obtained a Federal VAF number and put that information with the application. Thinking that would help things...Well..I waited and waited anwaited..No Movement and all I get from girl who answers the phone is you are still going through the background check. I forgot to email a copy of all my certified court docs showing "No Conviction" and it was expunged. I sent a copy of my original "Disposition" showing dismissed and my firearm rights were restored, Certified letter from the State AG office showing it was dismissed and I also got a copy of my FBI report and sent that along with it to showing my dismissal. I sent this information April 19th and then we got some movement.

Let me make this statement. They say they have 60 days, but that's just if you have a clean record. If you have a blemish..It will take about 3 months. :bigmouth :mad5

I am now waiting for my license, but 7-14 more days isn't going to make much of a difference. I do also have an Arizona CCW and Virginia CHL..So i wasn't really worried, but they do take forever! I know there is a Bill to do Constitutional Carry in Texas. HB1911. I think that is a great thing, but I would get a CHL/LTC so if you travel to other states you are legal.

What I don't understand is why Texas takes soooo long. Arizona was about 3 weeks and Virginia was about 4-5 Weeks. They asked for all of the same information and I provided docuementation..But DAMN!! 3 months for Texas..Geesh..Hope this helps.

I submitted my disposition paperwork and received verification that it was received on 1/29/17. My status is still pending. When I call and ask about it, I keep getting told that they 180 days to approve or deny my application. I call bull! It's pretty obvious the state doesn't have a clue what they are doing nor do they have a "process" in place. How can someone who submitted documentation almost 3 months later get their approval before someone that submtted 3 months ago. Grrrrrrr, so frustrating! :mad5 :mad5 :mad5

As the previous poster said, it takes longer if your record is not completely clean. I think it goes smoother if you go ahead and disclose any arrests along with the disposition/dismissal. There is a separate form for that. I understand your frustration. My wife waited much longer than me.
submitted 11/14/2016 received 12/9/2016
my wife's 11/14/2016 received 3/8/2017

I did disclose it on my application. This was from 22 years ago and was dismissed before going to court. The state has everything they need, just slow as hell!!!! :confused5

Okay Finally got Plastic in HAND!!! :hurry: :cheers2: :anamatedbanana

So Count on taking 3 months if you have a minor blip on your record..MAKE Sure you have all records. So you can add them..It will help expedite the process.

If you have a squeeky clean record...about 5 weeks.

Take Care and Good Luck..One other suggestion..Call Everyday and send emails from the website..AND BE RESPECTFUL! :txflag:
