I'M OUT OF THE WAITING ROOM!!!
I just checked online, and I got the coveted "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active" response!!! I don't have much time to visit, I just wanted to post that.

I can remember when my status changed to that.
I was reflexively checking 2-3 times a day, and I was checking again.
I said to myself, "Application processing" but the display actually read something different. I was extactic!

Yeah, Nitrogen, I did the same thing. I checked it last night before I went to bed, nothin'. I checked it more out of hopefullness this morning, not really expecting anything, and muttered under my breath, "processing application". But there it was! Unfortunately, I think we'll be leaving for 10 days to visit the wife's family in Nebraska before the plastic gets here. I'm planning a stop over in DFW to go by DFW Range and try to meet txi. Was really hoping the plastic would be here, but probably not. I can still get txi to help me find a good holster though if he's willing Hope all of you get out of the waiting room soon. It's a nice place to visit, but.....

It's official, it'll get here while I'm gone. It doesn't matter though. We're flying to Nebraska, so I won't get to use it on a drive. And when I get to NE, they're Nazi's about carrying so there goes that too. Maybe when they get their CHL program up and running, it'll be easier. Take care, and you guys play nice while I'm gone! I'll definitely miss the forum while I don't have a computer! But I AM going to try to make it to DFW Range while we're in Dallas to catch our plane. I'm going to try to shoot a little with txi, so it won't be a total gun free trip.

Good luck, Will.
Here are two things I've noticed since I started carrying full-time. First, when you start carrying, you automatically jump your situational awareness up several notches.
Second, when you're accustomed to carrying and suddenly find yourself deprived of arms, your awareness will max out. Radar goes to full military power. You see everything and everyone that could be a threat.
Just my experience.
