I didn't see one for May, so here I am. Long time lurker around here.

Class was March 23rd
Application and submitted papers today May 8th. I even got a confirmation email from someone that they received my supporting documents. I've seen where it takes several days for people to get that email.
Finger prints are scheduled for the 13th.

Another new user...

Emailed/attached final documents Thursday May 8th. Within an hour or two, received...

"We have received CHL supporting documents attached to your recent email. Please allow up to six weeks for processing.
We will notify you by mail, if any further information or additional documents are required.
"

Settling in for the long wait.

Sent via email through the DPSS site from the Contact Us tab my 1. Bar code application 2. Fingerprint confirmation through F.A.S.T. 3. DD214 4. UPIN 5. CHL-100 on May 2, 2014.
All documents sent .pdf online through the Contact Us tab. Received automated email stating that application is received. Checked status today online and it says " Application received pending paperwork" I'll check back in a week to see if the status has changed.

Still No Status Change

#13

Post by tkennemer »

We (husband and I) filled out and submitted our applications online around April 20th. Sent paperwork (CHL class certification, fingerprint receipt, DD214, etc.) via Priority Mail on April 30. According to the delivery receipt, they received it on May 2. There has been no e-mail stating they received our paperwork, and the status online still shows the same thing as it did on April 20th..."Application has been processed online. Concealed Handgun Licensing is waiting on receipt of required documents."

Does anyone know why it would still show this status when they received all our required paperwork over 2 weeks ago? And before you ask...yes, we provided all required paperwork according to the CHL Checklist.

It shows that status until they have started processing everything. They are waiting on background checks to be completed and your fingerprints to be uploaded to their system. I received my first update on day 45.

Has anyone checked status lately?

https://txapps.texas.gov/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; was down for maintenance last night (Sat night/Sun morning)

Now https://txapps.texas.gov/txapp/txdps/chl/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; is a bit different. It only asks for DL# and birth date. It no longer asks for SS#. And it takes you to a bit of a different page after that. Does not include the basic status that I saw last week (the "we have all your stuff" screen). I am only 10 days in, so the only status I have had was that my docs were all submitted.
